 Don’t worry. We have introductory lessons for amateurs inside our pool at no additional charge, as well as courses to obtain certification at any level. Accompany us down great depths at Viva Diving.

Submerge yourself in the oceanic world of Viva Diving, a five-star Gold Palm PADI organization. Our offers are customized to meet the needs of the amateur to experienced diver alike. We feed our passion for diving by housing a five-star PADI team which is ready to guide you through incredible dive sites.

The PADI Discover Scuba Diving Course 

Is a half-day course consisting of a theoretical-practice lesson, a lesson inside our pool and a dive out at sea (with a tank). Equipment is included.

The PADI Scuba Diver Course 

Encompasses two half-days, including three theoretical-practice lessons, two lessons inside our pool and two dives out at sea. Diving certificate and all equipment are included.

The PADI or SSI Open Water Diver Course

Has a duration of three days. It includes three theoretical-practice lessons, three lessons inside our pool and four dives out at sea. Diving certificate and all equipment are included.

Viva Diving offers guided snorkel tours of Isla Catalina and Isla Saona.

Dive Sites

ANCLA

This shallow garden reef is located in front of Viva Wyndham Dominicus Beach. It possesses a great variety of corals and marine sponges.

PARQUE, CASA ESTRELLA, ACUARIO, PARAISO ANQUILLAS

These four shallow reefs are nestled in front of the National Park of the East.

JARDíN CATALINA

Shallow reef with a 3-10 foot drop (1-3 meters), located to the west of Isla Catalina.

PARQUE 2, EL TIBURóN

The sand-filled space between small coral walls is home to a large collection of colorful fish.

QUASIMILLA, EL FARO

An amazing reef rests on this shallow garden and has a variety of corals and sea sponges.

ALTAGRACIA, PARQUERA, CANAL SAONA

This deep reef holds many of the area’s hard and soft corals and sea fans.

TORTUGA

Another shallow garden surrounds this beautiful reef containing a great variety of corals and sea sponges.

BAJO DE LA MINA

Reef located in front of La Romana, on the way as you head to Isla Catalina.

CAñóN CATALINA, PARED CATALINA

The lower part of these striking walls sequesters green and black coral, as well as huge sea sponges.

EL NAUFRAGIO DE COCA

This recreational wreck lies at a depth of 60 feet (18 meters).

ST. GEORGE WRECK

A wreck once a cargo vessel, measuring 240 feet (60 meters).

ISLA SAONA

Explore this pristine island lodging coral formations and spectacular sea sponges.
